Eleven golf courses in Kansas have formed a new golfing group called the Sunflower Golf Trail (SGT).  This new conglomerate of member golf courses will become effective on January 1, 2012.

The participating golf courses include the following: Emporia Municipal Golf Course, Stagg Hill in Manhattan, Rolling Meadows in Junction City, Salina Municipal Golf Course, Hays Municipal Golf     Course, Turkey Creek in McPherson, Carey Park in Hutchinson, Hesston Golf Park, Prairie Trails in El Dorado, Quail Ridge in Winfield, and Mariah Hills in Dodge City.

A free membership in the SGT is automatic for golfers who purchase a membership package from their participating home courses.  Several benefits will be available to members of the SGT:

Members can and should call ahead to the golf courses they plan to play and make tee times.

A membership guarantees a price of $20 per round that includes green fees and a cart.

Membership cards will be available for the 2012 season.
The Board of Directors of SGT is planning tournaments at the various golf courses for the 2012 season.

Membership in the SGT will afford golfers a chance to play any of the 10 other courses when their home course is closed for tournaments or course maintenance.
